Drawing From Life is a semester long class in which students create daily and nightly drawing of the human figure. Before they learn how to draw the figure, they must understand the skeletal and muscular system. To have a good understanding of the figure helps one to draw more accurately. Through various techniques and mediums, the students explored how to represent the figure and their own self-portraits, (Which were done every weekend with various topics in mind.), in creative and expressionistic ways. For most students, the art work created is used for their future portfolios to bring for Art College visits and reviews. DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY GALLERY -LAUREN LODICOMy name is Lauren Lodico and as a senior year at Prep, I can proudly say that I have been involved in many activities and opportunities that both Prep and my family has provided me with. I am not only a lover of photographs, but a thespian in our drama society, an officer in the National Arts Honors Society, a writer in the Little Portion, on the Bowling Varsity team, and heavily involved in the Campus Ministry office. Being apart of this amazing community has gifted me with lifelong friends that I will treasure past my senior year, along with the skills and lessons that I would’ve never learned had my parents not helped me succeed in sending me to Prep, and putting me in the right path like these magnificent teachers have helped me to do. I aspire to become a Nurse Practitioner and use my photography skills to photograph the things that I love the most in life. I also hope to be a published author and have my book read around the world, touching people’s lives. And with my new photography skills, I can even photograph my covers if I wanted to.
